Studies on the Pathogenic E. Coli in Korean Infant

Abstract
|
|
|
The author studiedabout the distribution of pathogenic E. Coli 0111,055, 026, and 044, 086, 0102 which is discussed ´about it´s pathogenesis for 125 cases of healthy infants and 186 cases of diarrheal infants whom dealt with as outpatient or inpatient at department of pediatrics of Chonnam University Medical School, and also studied about the distribution of 0 antigenic type 0121-0128 for 50 casess of healthy and 67 cases of diarrheal infants and the following, results were obtained.
1. In diarrheal cases 026 055, 0111, were 14.5°% 044, 086, 0102 were 23.1%, 0121-0128 were 53.6% and in healthy cases 026 , 055, 0111 were 20.0%, 044, 086, 0102 were 16.8%, 0121-0128 were 60.0%.
2. Each antigenic type was- detected as follow; in diarrheal cases 011L was 6.5%, 055 was 10.8%, 026 was 7.5%, 044 was 9.7% of 086 was 11.3%, 0102 was 13.4% and in 0121-0128 series 0121 were 14 cases among 36 cases, 0122 were 3 cases 0123 were 8 cases, 0124 were 8 cases, 0125 were 7 cases, 0126 were 8 cases, 0127 were 6 cases, 0128 were 3 cases and in healthy cases 0111-8.0%, 055-9.6%, 026-20.0%, 044-8.0%, 086-15 20/, 0102-12.0% in 0121-0128 series among detected 30 cases, 0121-7-cases 0122-3 cases, 0123-6 cases, 0124-3 cases, 0125-5 cases, 0126-4 cases, 0127-14 cases, 0128 were 6 cases.
3. The number of isolated strains detected by each antigenic type were as follow in diarrheal children 0111-27 strains, 055-21 strains, 026-17 strains, 044-35 strains, 086-42 strains, 0102-44 strains, and the number of strains belonged to 0121-0128 series were 111 strain (25.9%) and in healthy children 0111-13 strains, 055-18 strains, 026-38 strains, 044-18 strains, 086 -35 strains, 0102-25 strains and the number of strains belonged to 0121-0128 series were 62 strains-01.0%).
4. The number of bacterial kinds isolated from same person were as follow in diarrheal children 1 kind-39 cases(55.7%), 2 kinds-24 cases(34.2 %) 3 kinds-5 cases(71%), 4 kinds-2 cases(2.9%), in the E. Coli belonged to 0121-0128 series 1 kind-19 cases(52.8 %) 2 kinds-1O cases(27.8%) 3 kinds--5 cases(13.9%), 4 kinds-2 cases(5.6%), and in healthy children 1 kind 44 cases(30.4%), 2 kinds-19 cases(41.3%), 3 kinds 12 cases-(26i 1%), 4 kinds-1 case(2, 2%), in the E. Coli belonged to 0121-0128 series 1 kind-12 cases(40.0%), 2 kinds-18cases(60:0%), and there wasn´t 3 and 4 kinds.
5. The number of isolated E Coli detected from-same person were as follow in diarrheal children among detected 70 cases, 1 strain-28 cases(40.0%), 2 strains-16 cases(22 9%), 3 strains-1lcases(15.7%), 4 strains-3 cases (4.2%), 5 strains-7 cases(10.0%), no 6, 7, 8 and 9 strains, 10 strains-1 case (1.4%), in 0121 -0128 series among 36 cases, 1strain-13 cases(36.1a) 2 strains-6 cases(16.7%), 3 strains-6 cases(16.7%), 4 strains-3 -cases(8.3%) no 5 and 6 strains, 7 strains-5..cases(13.9%), 8 strains-2 cases(5.6%), 10 strains-1 case(2. 7%), and in healthy children among detected 46 cases, 1 strain -1 case(2.2%), Z strains-11 cases(23.9%), 3 strains-8 cases(17.4%), 4 strains-17 cases(36.O%), 5 strains-9 ,cases(19.5%), in 0121-0128 series among detected 30 cases, 1 strain-8 cases (26.7%), 2 strains-7 cases(23´ 3%), 3 strains-5 cases(16.7%), and 4 strains were 10 cases(33.3%)
